The TubBuddy with Tilt (SB2T) is an innovative transfer system that transforms your existing bathtub or curbed shower into a fully accessible, barrier-free bathing solution—without the high cost or disruption of a full bathroom remodel. Designed to minimize the need for multiple transfers and heavy lifting, the SB2T enhances comfort, safety, and ease of use for both users and caregivers.
This three-part system includes a rolling base (shower chair), bridge, and tub base. The rolling base functions not only as a mobile shower chair, but also as a bedside or over-toilet commode. It moves easily through the home like a wheelchair and is designed to roll over most standard toilets, making toileting simple and efficient.
When ready to bathe, the rolling base connects to the tub base via the bridge, allowing the user to slide into position in a tilted posture with legs raised. The 30-degree infinite tilt is unique to the SB2T and offers exceptional comfort, pressure relief, and easier access for bathing—a feature unmatched by any other shower transfer system on the market.
Once the user is in position over the tub or shower, the bridge and rolling base can be detached to close the shower curtain for privacy or to allow the caregiver better access to the user. A custom bridge may be necessary if the toilet is positioned unusually close to or far from the tub.
Safety is a top priority. The SB2T features a secondary locking mechanism to prevent accidental sliding off the tracks. It also includes a standard front-opening cushion, neck rest, swing-away and removable footrests with calf strap, flip-back/lockable and removable armrests, 5” lockable casters, a removable commode bucket with lid, chest and lap belts, and adjustable height to accommodate various users and settings.
